Game Overview

Stacktris is a physics stacking game that turns falling tetrominoes into a test of balance. You place spinning blocks on a small platform and build the tower as high as you can. The pieces do not lock into a perfect grid, so their weight, angle, and momentum keep affecting the structure after they land.

Each drop begins with a decision about rotation and position. Stop a piece at a useful angle, then place it where the existing tower can support the next layer. A block can wobble, slide, or tilt after contact. A placement that looks safe near the top may still shift the lower stack, so you need to consider the whole tower instead of watching one piece in isolation.

The spinning speed raises the pressure as the tower grows. A faster piece gives you less time to judge its shape, while a narrow platform leaves less room to correct an off-centre landing. When the structure becomes unstable, one bad drop can start a chain reaction and send several blocks off the platform. The collapse shows you which balance decision failed and gives the next attempt a specific lesson.

Coins and upgrades add a progression layer around the physics. A wider platform offers more room for a growing tower, friction can reduce unwanted sliding, and other improvements change how much time or stability you have during a run. Those tools support a better plan, but you still need to read the shape of each tetromino and place it with care.

Stacktris works as a Tetris tower game for players who want physics instead of line clearing. The longer search for a stacking game with spinning tetromino blocks and a height goal also describes its central loop: choose an angle, protect the base, and keep the tower standing.
